These are the titles we chose collectively for 2012:

January 4 - HEAVEN IS FOR REAL by Todd Burpo.
Burpo, a Wesleyan pastor in rural Nebraska, recalls his four-year-old son’s mystic vision of heaven while the boy was suffering from a near fatal illness in 2003.

February 1 - BEFORE I FORGET by Leonard Pitts Jr.
Pulitzer Prize winning columnist Pitts Jr. delivers an unsettling, compelling first novel about secrets, illness, and the role of African American men in society and family life.

March 7 - GABBY: A STORY of COURAGE and HOPE by Gabrielle Giffords and Mark Kelly.
From one of the most admired and beloved couples in recent American history, Gabby is an extraordinary moving story of public service, risk-taking, romance - and journey toward recovery.

April 4 - ROOM by Emma Donoghue.
To five-year-old Jack, Room is the world. It’s where he was born, it’s where he and his Ma eat, sleep, play, and learn.

May 2 - THE ALCHEMIST by Paul Coelho.
Details the journey of an Andalusian boy, Santiago , who believes a reoccurring dream of treasure to be prophetic.

June 6 - I STILL DREAM ABOUT YOU by Fannie Flagg.
This heartwarming story follows the continuously interrupted suicide attempt of a former beauty queen, now 60 and a realtor.

July - No Meeting: Beach Reads! The list of recommended Beach Reads will be posted to our website.

August 1 - TURN of MIND by Alice LaPlante.
Dr. Jennifer White has Alzheimer’s. Her neighbor, best friend, Godmother to her daughter - has been found dead in her home. All clues point to Jennifer.

September 5 - SAFE HAVEN by Nicholas Sparks.
When a mysterious young woman named Katie appears in the small N.C. town of Southport, her sudden arrival raises questions about her past.

October 3 - A DISCOVERY of WITCHES by Deborah Harkness.
"A wonderfully imaginative grown-up fantasy with all the magic of Harry Potter and Twilight by a real life historian."

November 7 - A PLACE CALLED HOME by Jo Goodman.
Mitch is no parent, but when he and Thea - a woman he barely knows - are named guardians for their late friends’ three children, he vows to do his best for the kids.

December 5 - THE CHRISTMAS WEDDING by James Patterson and Richard DiLallo.
Gaby Summerville hopes her mysterious Christmas wedding, along with another surprise, will help reunite her family.
