Today, Oak Park's Library is more than a collection of books, periodicals, audio books and DVDs for the public to borrow. It has also developed into the communitys center for cultural events ranging from concerts and art exhibits to special childrens events. Moreover, todays patrons also have computer access to the holdings of more than 50 other area libraries.

The Library houses more than 2,000 Russian language books.
It is a member of The Library Network, a consortium of 65 members libraries located in Wayne, Oakland, Livingston and Washtenaw Counties. The Library
has a free Wi-Fi Internet access.
